Event Description

Avoid the large crowds and guarantee yourself a great seat close to the flight line and enjoy a great show. The premium box seats are assigned seats on the tarmac. Children 3 and under are free and lap only. If you wish to have a seat for your 3 year old and under, a ticket needs to be purchased. No umbrellas are allowed in this area.

Thunder Over Solano is Free Admission.  Premium Box Seating Is Optional.

Children 3 and under are free and lap only.

If you want a seat for your 3 year old you must buy a ticket.

Saturday On-Line Ticket Sales will end at 8:00 pm on May 2, 2014.  You can purchase your tickets for Saturday May 3rd at the show.  Sunday's tickets are still available for purchase on line until Saturday May 3rd, 8:00 pm.

Directions to the show: 

Directions from San Francisco:  Take the Bay Bridge out of the city and follow I-80 East to Exit 47. After merging onto Air Base Parkway, continue for 5 miles, and you?ll be at the main gate.

Directions from Sacramento:  Take I-80 West to the Air Base Pkwy (Exit #47A) towards Travis AFB.  After merging onto Air Base Parkway, continue for 5 miles, and you?ll be at the main gate.

Public Transportation:  Take the Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST) bus route 4.

Parking:  Once you arrive at the Travis AFB main gate, you will be directed to the parking lot.  All traffic entering the main gate will flow to the Open House parking lot. Handicapped guests or those with other special parking needs should follow the signs to the designated handicapped parking locations. Parking attendants will be available to help direct you.

All personnel requesting entry are subject to search of their vehicle, hand carried items, and/or person

Q. Do I have to buy a ticket to get into the show?

A. No, the air show is free admission and free parking.  These seats are a great convenient option to have.

Q. What are premium box seats?

A. Premium Box Seats are assigned seats set on the tarmac. Section "1" is the closer section to show center, then section 2 and so on and so forth.

Q. Do the seats have shaded area?

A. No, the seats are not covered. 

Q. Can I go in and out of the seating area?

A. Yes, we will provide you with a wrist band which will grant you in and out access.

Q. What is the handicap access like?

A. There is handicap parking.  Everyone who would like a seat in the designated area will need a ticket, even if the person is in a wheelchair. It is also highly recommended that if a member of your party is in a wheelchair, you purchase seats at the end of the row and at the end of the section.

Q. Can I get a refund or exchange?

A. No refunds/no exchanges of tickets regardless of weather or changes in flying schedule.

Q. What items are NOT allowed?

A. Coolers, glass containers, pets, fireworks, knives, weapons of any sort, and large tote bags are all prohibited to ensure the security and safety of attendees. Bicycles, roller blades, etc., are acceptable modes of transportation for getting to the event; however, they will not be used inside the show area due to safety concerns.

Q. Can I bring an umbrella into the seating area?

A. Open umbrellas are not allowed in the seating area. Also, no smoking and for best viewing of everyone in the seating area, we ask that you remain seated during the aerial performances.

Q.  What is Parking like?

A. Parking is free.  We recommend you arrive early to avoid long entrance lines.  Once you arrive at the Travis AFB main gate, you will be directed to the parking lot.  All traffic entering the main gate will flow to the Open House parking lot.
