Southeast Iowa Air Show 2012  -  September 21st and 22nd!

On Friday evening, September 21, 2012, the sky over the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport will be lit up with dazzling performers and spectacular fireworks in a unique preview to the main air show the next day. See the fireball from jet powered vehicles as they race down
the runway.


Then on Saturday, September 22, 2012, the day will start with a special Kiwanis Pancake Breakdast and be followed with activities and fun for the entire family. You will see the new light sport category of aircraft that make flying more affordable. You will see new high performance general aviation aircraft along with displays of contemporary aircraft, antique aircraft and military aircraft. The air show will feature several outstanding performers along with demonstrations of the capibility of our current military aircraft and flights of historic war birds. The evening will be topped off with a 1940's Big Band Hangar Dance and Show!

Q. What time do doors open?
A.  Friday, Sept 21 at 6:00 PM.   Saturday, Sept 22 at 9:00 AM.


Q. What is parking like?
A.  Free parking with paid general admission on the airport grounds.  All persons in airport parking area require general admission tickets.


Q. Does my 5 year old child need a ticket?
A.  Yes.  Children 4 and under are free.  Age 5 to 12 are $6 advance and $10 after Sept 17.  Age 13 up are adult tickets.


Q. What is the handicap access like?
A.  A special parking area near the main entrance is available for handicapped parking.  Persons displaying handicapped parking signs in their vehicles may park in the handicapped area.

Q. Is it all seating or standing room only?
A.  Reserved seating is available on line for $26.  (Children 4 and under may sit on parents lap.  Ticket is required if want separate seat.) Seating is also available on line in the VIP area.  No lawn chairs are allowed.


Q. What does General Admission mean?
A.  You receive a wrist band with purchase of general admission ticket.  The wrist band is good for admission to both Friday and Saturday air show.  It is non transferable and void if cut or removed.  Free parking on airport grounds included with General Admission.


Q. Can I get a refund or exchange?
A.  No.   

Q. What items are allowed/not allowed?
A.  Coolers, no smoking, weapons of any kind. Low lawn chairs are allowed, and must be folded down when unoccupied.


Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. Price is discounted $4 per ticket until midnight Sept 17th.

Q. What else is going on?
A. A 1940's Big Band Dance and Show on Saturday night following the air show from 7:00 to 10:00.  This will feature a simulated "live" radio broadcast with the Bullis-Rutter 18 piece big band and a USO type musical variety show.  1940's attire is encouraged.  Free popcorn and cash bar.  Tickets are $16 at HyVee on Agency St and at Weird Harold's in downtown Burlington or purchase at the door.
