Event Description

What if going to a concert in Idaho could build a school in Africa? What if listening to music for a night with hundreds of other people in Boise could provide students in Uganda with hope for their future? With so many overwhelming needs in the world, what if one concert could change one community across the world?

The Pursuit church in Boise, ID has decided to do what they can to make a difference in one community across the globe: Kampala, Uganda. Members of the church currently sponsor over 200 students from Kampala Community Church. These sponsorships pay for an elementary education, in addition to basic needs for these thankful students. But there is one immediate issue that needs to be addressed; they do not have a secondary school (high school education level) for these students to attend in the community. In order for these students to become self-sufficient leaders and eventually support their families, they need to get a good job, which in Uganda is hard to obtain without a secondary level education. Furthering the education that these students will receive if this school is built will not only change the students’ lives and the lives of their family members, but also the community of Kampala, Uganda. There is a way for people in Boise to provide opportunity for people on the other side of the world.

On May 24, Phil Wickham, a nationally known Christian artist and powerful worship leader, will be in Boise for a benefit concert at The Pursuit Church (6151 N Discovery Way, Boise, ID 83713 – next to the West Boise YMCA). 100% of the net profits from this event will be donated directly to Kampala Community Church to build a secondary school in the community.

Tickets are $15* presale, $20 at the door (while tickets last). Doors will open at 6pm, the concert will start at 7pm.
Invite your friends!

A talented local artist Jordan Shaft, the worship pastor at The Pursuit, will be featured as the opening act for Phil Wickham.

The Pursuit is a local church that exists to create a safe place for seekers and skeptics to meet Jesus and to equip His followers for a life of service to Him and others. This concert is one way that The Pursuit is sharing the love of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible, even in Africa.
