Thanks to the support of the citizens of Shelby County, the Shelby County Fair is entering its 63rd year. In a rapidly growing urban county we try to retain the features of the old time country fair. Our emphasis is on farm produce, arts and crafts, plants and cut flowers, livestock shows, and home grown entertainment. Our entertainment features local school groups, church groups and other local talent… and Elvis is always in the house on Friday night.

To make our Fair affordable to families we maintain a flat entrance fee to the Fair of $10.00 that includes the exhibit hall, all rides, entertainment and the livestock shows. We believe that the Shelby County Fair represents the very best as an educational and entertainment value.

The Kiwanis Club of Columbiana sponsors the Shelby County Fair with the assistance of the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea. The Kiwanis theme is “Serving the Children of the World”. We use the Fair as a vehicle to help fund local youth activities and most of the money we earn at the Fair goes to local youth activities which include schools, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, youth leadership programs and scholarships. We could not put on the Fair without the active support of the Shelby County Commission, Shelby County Sheriff, and the tremendous support provided by the City of Columbiana… thanks for being our partners in this endeavor.
