Q: What are the dates of the Cape Girardeau
Regional Air Festival
A: The 2019 Air Festival will take
place May 18th and 19th
Q: What time is the Air Festival?
A: Gates open to the public at
9:00am daily. The show will begin at
11:30am and the gates will close at 5:00pm
Q:
What are ticket prices?
A: Advanced General Admission: (available at all Rhodes
101 Convenience stores or online at www.capegirardeauairfestival.com): Adult-$16.50 (ages 13-up), Child (7-12) 11.00
(6 and under are free)
General Admission Gate Prices:
Adult (ages 13 & up) - $20.00, Child (7-12) $15.00 (6 & under free)
Family Four Pack (2
adult/2 child general admission):
Advanced Price: $40.00 Gate Price:

Sugarfire Premium Tent:
Adult - $65.00, Child - $45.00 (6 & under free with paying adult) ?

Q: What if it rains?
A: The show will go on, rain or
shine. If there is a cancellation due to
weather on Saturday, Saturday tickets will be honored on Sunday. If there is a weather cancellation on Sunday
there will be no refund for ticket sales.
Q: What is the recommended attire for the event?
A: Remember to wear appropriate attire
for weather conditions. In the event of rain wear clothing and shoes to reflect possible soggy
conditions.

Is ear protection recommended?
A: Yes

Is smoking allowed on the property:
A: No. The City of Cape Girardeau has a tobacco free
policy.
Q:
Will the Cape Girardeau Air Festival be televised?
A: No.
There will be media outlets on the premises during the event but the
event will not be televised.
Transportation/Parking
Q:
How do I know where to park? Is
there a Shuttle Bus?
A: Shuttles are available from the
following lots:
· West Park Mall ? Ashley Furniture Lot (Black)
· Cape Central High School (Orange)
· Verdesian (Former QC Corporation) Nash Road (Blue)
· Agri Trans (Green)
· Rhodes Truck Stop (Red)
· Former Animal Emergency Center (Pink)
· Lawless Harley Davidson (Yellow)
Please see map on www.capegirardeauairfestival.com to view locations; shuttles will run every 5-7 minutes and will begin when gates open and run until all lots are empty.
Q:
Can I take carGO to the show?
A: Yes. There will be a designated
drop of/pick up area for patrons utilizing carGO for transportation. Use your carGO app or call (573)
837-1125.
Q:
Is it possible to drop people off at the flight line entrance gates and
then go park?
A: No. All vehicles must have parking
pass, handicap decal, or airline boarding pass
Q:
Where is handicap parking? Do you
have a handicap shuttle on the flight line?
A: Handicap parking is on the airport
grounds and will be marked. All vehicles
must have handicap designated license plate or
decal. Golf cart shuttles will run
periodically to assist with transportation to air show grounds.
Q:
Can I fly my own plane into the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport?
A: Yes. If you fly before the Temporary
Flight Restriction (TFR) and waiver are in place. You may leave after the show. Be sure to check all NOTAMS.
Q: Are wagons (i.e. Radio Flyer) and strollers
allowed?
A: Yes. All items are subject to search

Are folding/beach chairs allowed?
A: Yes. There will be limited bleachers
available.
Q:
Are tents awnings, pop-ups or shade canopies allowed, and what about
umbrellas?
A: No. Only hand-held umbrellas are
allowed. Please wear a hat or other
comfort items in those areas that will not impact the view of
the individuals around you.
Q:
Are coolers allowed into the event?
A: No. Ice chests and coolers are not allowed. Concessions will be made for medically
necessary items and after proper inspection at a
specified lane at each respective gate.
Necessary items such as baby formula will be carefully inspected
to ensure everyone?s safety. Glass
containers are not allowed and will be confiscated.
Q:
Will outside food be allowed?
A: No.
There will be food and drink available for purchase at the concession
stands.
Q:
Are water bottles allowed?
A: No.
Water will be available for purchase from the Air Festival vendors.
Q:
Are outside alcoholic beverages allowed?
A: No. Alcoholic beverages will be
available for purchase from Air Festival vendors.
Q: Are there any restrictions on bringing
weapons to this event?
A: Yes. Weapons of any kind (regardless
of permit) will be confiscated to include but not limited to: firearms, knives (including pocket knives and
multi-tools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray,
mace,
stun guns, and martial arts weapons.
Q: Are peace officers (police, sheriff?s
deputies, etc.) allowed to carry weapons?
A: Yes, only if they are in uniform with
appropriate credentials. Off duty or plain clothes carry is not authorized.
Q: Will bikes, skateboards, roller-blades,
skates, or Razor brand scooters be allowed?
A: No. Bikes may be secured outside the gates in
designated areas.
Q: Will pets be allowed to enter the Air Show?
A: No. Only service animals will be
permitted. Official service animal documentation
will be required.
Q: Can I bring in photography and camera
equipment?
A: Photography and camera equipment are
allowed. Also, in order to keep the entry lines moving along, you
will want to bring what is only absolutely needed. There is no special
permission required. You also
want to keep in mind that if you?re in the Preferred Seating areas, you can?t
block the view of other patrons. Media credentials will be
required for certain areas.
Q: Are personal drones permitted at the air
show?
A: No. Personal drones are not allowed to
operate during the air show and will be confiscated if brought on the Air Festival grounds (i.e.
quad or hex copters). Please leave all drones at home!
