“Even though the show was cancelled on Sunday, there are still fixed expenses that must be paid,” said Christina Carey, special projects manager of the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show. “That being said, we want to offer this special opportunity to our incredible fans. Although we have not yet announced our dates or featured performers, we expect to be hosting another blockbuster lineup of world-class air show performers and phenomenal ground displays in 2012.”
This year’s show attracted approximately 50,000 fans for Saturday’s show that featured the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. Sunday’s show was cancelled at approximately 7:45 AM on Sunday after organizers realized that flooded lots would not provide safe and adequate parking for the expected crowd. Sponsors and vendors donated food that had already been purchased for Sunday’s show to area food banks.

“While we understand Alliance Air Productions may not be able to give as much to local non-profit organizations as in years past, we are satisfied knowing local area food banks benefited from the donation of food from our chalet sponsors,” said Carey.
