Trevor Hager was raised in the hills of Southwest Virginia. His love of music began at a very young age. He grew up watching his father and many members of his family play music. Being a third generation pastor's kid, he was highly involved in music at church since he was a child. Growing up he saw his dad leading worship and knew in his heart that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps. He began playing various instruments and was determined to grow in his inherited, musical gifts. Those talents and abilities have flourished over the years. Today, Trevor has toured around the world and sang for millions of people. From the summer of 2013 to the summer of 2014, he began pursuing his music career full-time, touring with American Idol Finalist Phil Stacey. In the course of only twelve months, he played over 420 shows in more than 10 different countries. After the release of his debut worship album, "I've Been Redeemed", Trevor decided to begin touring on his own. Trevor's heart is to see people come together in worship.
Trevor states, "The whole reason I began writing for this project was because it was the kind of moment I wanted to have in worship personally. This entire album started over a year and half ago with the title track, 'I've Been Redeemed', which was the anthem I needed for my life at that time. This project has been a long and hard journey, but it encompasses the atmosphere I wanted to experience in corporate worship with other believers."
Throughout the years Trevor has grown into an eclectic and unique artist, who desires to see people worship together without any limits or boundaries. Trevor continues, "It seems like for years we've placed a box on worship and worship music. Like there were rules and guidelines. 'Raise your hands this way... make music that sounds this way.... use these instruments and chords...' and I longed for it to feel more genuine to me. I really longed for something that was simple and from the heart that allowed people a chance to feel like they could be unique in their worship. I hope this record provides the opportunity for people to do that."
