Michael Jr. is giving the world an opportunity to smile again?

No matter where you experience this man?s humor, on-stage, on-line, or one-on-one, you get the same Michael Jr. ? at ease, conversational, a sly sense of mischief, with a grasp of real-life culture-current scenarios that create waves of laughter.

The funny career started as Michael Jr. was enjoying a show at a crowded Grand Rapids, Michigan movie theater when the projector xmalfunctioned. The film snapped, the house lights came on, and acting on a dare, young Michael jumped in front of the restless crowd to take center stage. There he brought laughter to the disgruntled audience. When the theater manager tried to usher him out, the audience demanded he stay?and Michael Jr. discovered his gift.

A few laughs later and Michael Jr. transitions from the theatre seat to the theatre screen as a supporting actor in Sony Pictures? blockbuster movie War Room.  The movie shocked Hollywood by becoming number one in the box office and then number one on DVD!

Along with that Michael?s appearance first break came when Comedian George Wallace took him to the legendary Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, home of Jay Leno and ?The Tonight Show? staff. The club?s owner slipped Michael on-stage, and a week later, Michael was performing at the ?Just for Laughs? comedy festival in Montreal, where he became the first comedian to ever appear LIVE via satellite on ?The Tonight Show.?

So, how can a man be equally at home in the heartland, in the inner city, universities and prisons, corporate events and churches? Michael calls it comedy accountability. ?If I?m in a club, my comedy has to be clean enough to work in a church. If I?m in a church, it has to be funny enough to work in a club.? Recently, Michael was awarded a Dove Award by the Gospel Music Association for outstanding comedian of the year.

It is this versatility that has enabled Michael to author a children?s book ? The Parts We Play, to be featured in the wildly successful comedy DVD Thou Shalt Laugh, and to have made his directorial debut with Comedy The Road Less Traveled. Michael?s additional projects include the video Laughing On Purpose, CDs Funny for a Reason and Break Time, and the new documentary/small group video study The No Show Comedy Show.
