Event Description

Through their songs and their high energy live shows, GRAMMY-nominated Building 429 is a band that has been touted throughout their more than 15-year career as ?authentic and amazing ? uplifting and unforgettable,? along with being ?truly focused on bringing glory to God.? Building 429 is sure to continue keeping fans on their feet and singing their hearts out with their collection of songs. Their album, aptly titled Unashamed, is full of artful anthem-like choruses complimented by engaging power-pop melodies, paired with raw honest lyrics, digging into the album?s theme deeper than ever before.

Since the release of their debut album in 2000, Jason Roy (vocals), Michael Anderson (drums), Jesse Garcia (guitars), and Aaron Branch (bass) have tirelessly and passionately exhorted the faith community with popular battle cries such as ?Where I Belong? and ?We Won?t Be Shaken.? In fact, their songs have also reached the peak of the radio charts. Building 429 held the No. 1 spot with ?We Won?t Be Shaken? on Billboard?s Hot AC/CHR chart and AC Indicator for multiple weeks, eventually resulting in a nomination for the band at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards (Top Christian Song). Previous to that, ?Where I Belong? (from 2011?s Listen To The Sound) became one of the longest No. 1 singles in Billboard history of Billboard?s Christian charts with a whopping 15 weeks at the top. ?Where I Belong? went on to be named 2012 Christian Song of the Year and recognized as BMI?s 2013 Song of the Year.

Building 429 also received recognition with a GRAMMY nomination in 2013 for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (We Won?t Be Shaken), a KLOVE Fan Awards nomination in 2014 for Best Group or Duo of the Year, Billboard?s 2012 Christian Songs Artist of the Year and Christian AC Songs Artist of the Year.

After playing in front of over 600,000 fans on the 2014/15 WinterJam tour, Building 429 headlined their own spring tour along with joining Women of Faith?s latest run. But even after performing before countless crowds in numerous cities and selling more than a million singles to date, the band feels they are only building on the momentum they?ve created.

With Unashamed, Building 429 took the album?s title to heart. As they continued to boldly carry their banner proclaiming their faith through these songs, the band is also making sure they don?t leave behind those who are struggling in their faith walk.

?With We Won?t Be Shaken, we wanted to sow seeds of confidence, boldness and assurance,? says lead singer Jason Roy. ?But, we realized we didn?t admit to the doubt and struggles of the believer, that the messiness of getting to the place of confidence and boldness is part of the journey that can?t necessarily be skipped over. We saw that as an opportunity for this album and believe that God has been a part of the whole process.?

Unashamed also acknowledges that even in the midst of life?s uncertainties, the bold proclamation of God?s faithfulness is still possible ? and even fun. This is definitely heard on ?Impossible,? Unashamed?s first single, which has already broken records when it received 95 radio adds out of the box, the most for any Provident artist to date.

Collaborating with a strong team of key players and producers, including Seth Mosley, Casey Brown, Chuck Butler, Rob Hawkins and the team of Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury, the band has worked intentionally to truly connect with the listener at a deeper level. Explains Roy, ?We wanted to be more honest and transparent about our struggles with an audience that needs to hear it.?
