Bushido-Kai was launched in with our mega event with Bob Wall, Ray McCallum and special guest from across the country. This was a great time of seminars, banquet and a lot of great fellowship! The KC Bushido-kai is charted under the great Pat Burleson's World Martial Arts Ranking Association. WMARA
This year will be a smaller focused gathering of work shops and seminars aimed at Black Belts , instructors and high ranks.
One of our main focuses this year is kickboxing drills and low contact sparring methods for cardio, technique and safety.
We will gather and review, work thru and discuss what works, doesn't work and how to improve our self defense and curriculum from original Bushidokan Karate as it has been handed down and adapted.
We will be evaluating the old "core" curriculum we are launching the "electives" as part of our "University".
We will have great seminars from including special guest Richard Morris, Bob Edwards, Gene Eastland, Brent Ames and many others. Workshops will be mixed in with alot of hands on work and instructor round table.
We will work as a round table as the WMARA Mission states together to evolve and incorporate additional material as electives and new requirement options. These will be added to our "learning library ". Each high Dan running his own "tribe"/ dojo can adapt or stay with the old stuff as they see fit, our work shops are just a discussion to evolve from.
Schedule is set tentatively, specific instructors and topics may change.
