Duo Capriccioso is a dynamic Violin & Flute ensemble dedicated to exploring not only the works of the traditional canon but also the expanding works of contemporary music. Duo Capriccioso is formed by Flutist Denissa Rivas and violinist Raúl Munguía. It is quickly earning praise for its passionate musical commitment, creative style, and original programming. As an alternative and unique ensemble, they view their artistic roles as being much more than 'interpreters' of a venerable long-standing classical repertoire, but they are also deeply invested in curating and creating music that enhances, diversifies, and re-invigorates the modern concert experience. Duo Capriccioso continues to commission original works by both American and Latin American composers.

Join us to explore an eclectic program that will include music from different Latin American regions as well as American and European composers. Together with our collaborative pianist, Isaac Hernández, audience members will enjoy an intimate evening of live music, personal stories, curious musical/personal facts, and you will be invited to participate in the concert by submitting written questions which will be selected randomly and answered live on stage by the performers throughout the concert.
