Parking Lots Open: 8:00AM

Gates Open: 9:00AM

The airshow is expected to begin at 10:30AM, and is expected to conclude at 3:30PM

Gates Close: 5:00PM

Parking Lots Close: 6:00PM

PARKING INFORMATION:

Guests will park at nearby parking areas and be bussed to/from the event.

Those requiring ADA/handicap parking will be permitted to park on Gowen Field in specially designated areas (sticker/placard required - Note: Personal weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited and all vehicles entering Gowen Field are subject to search).

Thunderdome Chalet ticket holders will park in the VIP & Sponsors (Purple) lot.

Please have your tickets prepared to present upon arrival to be permitted to access the Purple lot. You must have your tickets as proof of purchase to be permitted to access the Purple lot.
Once parked, Thunderdome Chalet ticket holders will be directed to the VIP hospitality area where your tickets will be scanned and you will receive your wristbands to enter the Thunderdome Chalet seating area.
*All non-Thunderdome Chalet ticket holders that attempt to park in the Purple lot will be redirected to park in any of the general parking areas. *

PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEOGRAPHY PERMISSIONS AND CONSENT: Photography / videography is permitted, with express permission for Gowen Thunder Airshow and its partners to use/reproduce any video/photos posted to social media.

UNAUTHORIZED/THIRD-PARTY TICKET RESALE: There is no authorized re-selling of tickets for this event.

Gowen Thunder is the Treasure Valley’s largest-ever military airshow & open house with attendance expected to exceed 150,000. Please join us for a family friendly, patriotic event that promotes community awareness of the Idaho National Guard, celebrates achievements in the military & aviation, and honors service and sacrifice. General admission is free.

We are thrilled to offer a family-friendly event that will be a highlight of the year for everyone who attends, showcasing the amazing potential in STEM learning for our children, and bringing awareness to the MWR program at the Idaho National Guard.

Thunderbirds

The Thunderbirds Demonstration Squadron performs for audiences around the world to display the pride, precision and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents.

Golden Knights

One of only three DoD-sanctioned demonstration teams, the Golden Knights are the Army's aerial ambassadors, competing among the best and performing for communities across the country and worldwide.

F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Team

Based at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, the F-35A Demonstration Team showcases the unique capabilities of the Air Force's most advanced 5th generation multi-role stealth fighter.

For more than 75 years, thousands of Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen of the Idaho National Guard have shared the land and runways of Gowen Field with the city of Boise and the surrounding community. Today, the base is home to units of the Idaho Army National Guard and Idaho Air National Guard, as well the Army Reserve, and Navy and Marine Reserve.
