Filmmaker and Laguna Beach resident Jewels Brettin shares an unforgettable story of two siblings who reunite after six years and face sudden, disturbing news.
A discussion featuring the filmmaker and cast will follow the short film screening (15 minutes).
More about the filmmaker
Jewels Brettin studied film and, for more than a decade, the Meisner Technique of acting, which she credits with the insight she brings to character development and her storytelling skill.
Sidelined from in-person acting classes during COVID, she began to write. Her short film, TWISTed FAMiLy, was born. It was filmed in the desert of Borrego Springs in 2021 and premiered at the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana last November.
