Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show is back and better than ever to showcase 2024 with high-flying dominance on display. This highly anticipated event will take place May 11-12, 2024, and promises to be a spectacle of aviation excellence that will awe attendees.

“The MCAS Cherry Point Air Show has a rich history of showcasing the incredible skill, precision, and power of military and civilian aviation,” said Col. Brendan “Cletus” Burks, MCAS Cherry Point commanding officer. “Together with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, we will put on a free, world-class air show that will bring together some of the most skilled pilots from the aviation industry, as well as the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy, to demonstrate the undeniable strength of American air power aboard America’s Air Station.”

The U.S. Navy’s world-renowned aerial demonstration team, the Blue Angels, will make its return as the featured performer for the 2024 air show. Planning continues for the action-packed, two-day event, and many of the fan favorites that were featured in 2021’s air show are scheduled to return, including acts such as the Hot Streak II Jet Truck, All-Veteran Jump Team, Randy Ball, RJ Gritter, Tom Larkin, Stephen Covington and New Bern’s own acrobatic pilot, Hubie Tolson.

The air show is MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s immense, biennial community outreach event and a celebration. It is the military community’s grand gesture of appreciation to the thousands of regional neighbors and community partners for their enduring support to the installation. It also celebrates the professional workforce of military and civilian personnel who keep the air station operating year-round.

While premium seating options are offered, general admission and parking are free to the designated show grounds which runs along MCAS Cherry Point flight line. The area will be lined with an array of demonstrations, aircraft static displays, vendor offerings and more.
