The MCAS Cherry Point Air Show returns May 9–10, 2026, for a patriotic weekend of unforgettable aviation and family-friendly fun in Eastern North Carolina.

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, this special edition of the air show will celebrate our nation’s heritage with thrilling aerial performances, powerful demonstrations of airpower, and a shared spirit of pride and unity.

Headlining the 2026 event is the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels, joined by an exciting lineup of military and civilian performers. Fan-favorite acts—including the parachute jump team and aerobatic pilots Randy Ball, RJ Gritter, Tom Larkin, and Wingwalker Sam—will also return to the sky.

General Admission to the air show is free; seating is not provided for free general admission. A free Base Pass is required to park and attend the air show. Upgraded seating tickets are available to purchase exclusively through AttendStar.

General Admission to the air show is free, seating is not provided for free general admission. A free Base Pass is required to park and attend the air show.


If purchasing upgrading seating tickets, a Base Pass will be included. You will not need to obtain a separate Base Pass when you purchase seating tickets. Flightline Club ticket-holders will receive a VIP parking pass with their purchase.



Gates open at approximately 9:00 am. The air show will kick off around 10:30 am, with flying beginning around 11:00 am. The Blue Angels will close out the show at approximately 2:45 to 3:00 pm and conclude around 4:00 pm. 


The show schedule is the same for both Saturday and Sunday.


We have small children, will there be anything for them to do?

- Lots! The Air Show will have several displays, events, and rides for the kids to enjoy. Children can also enjoy a variety of inflatables, aviation related fun, and various games.



Will special needs/wheelchair/handicap parking and seating be accessible?

- PARKING:  Handicapped parking will be available in all parking areas. Please follow signs for your designated lot unless you have a special pass, i.e. VIP or premium parking pass. As you enter the Air Station, please make sure your handicapped sign is visible for traffic control personnel to see, or inform traffic control personnel as you enter the parking area that you require parking handicapped parking. The handicapped parking areas will have ADA golf carts or shuttle busses for handicapped persons and one assistant to and from the Air Show area.


- SEATING:  There will be a special needs seating area located on the tarmac that includes chairs and a canopy. This area is free and is first come, first served.


- PREMIUM SEATING OPTIONS:  All premium paid seating areas are handicap and wheelchair accessible. The BLEACHER sections have a few places on the bottom row with spaces or wheelchairs. These rows are first come, first served. The BOX SEATS are available as boxes of 10, 6, or 4 seats. Chairs located in each box can be removed to make space for wheelchairs. The box seats are located on the flight line in front of the bleachers and are reserved for the day. These are available for purchase and usually sell out quickly. The FLIGHTLINE CLUB, AFTERBURNER CHALET, and LANDING ZONE seating areas are all handicap accessible and in close proximity to accessible restrooms.



Where is the air show located?

- The Air Show will be held aboard the East Coast's premiere Marine Corps jet base, MCAS Cherry Point, centrally located in Havelock, North Carolina. Close to numerous cities and towns, the air show is a short drive from anywhere in eastern North Carolina for a day of FREE family fun. - We have numerous options for local businesses and corporations to highlight their wares and skills. Where will a nursing station be located?

- The Red Cross will provide a nursing station for breastfeeding mothers.


Do you have any parking tips?

- Arrive early: We expect thousands of attendees each day, but with the size of the flight line, it shouldn't seem too crowded no matter the amount of people. 

- Take a shuttle bus: The Air Show will provide buses for guests transportation to and from the main parking area to enjoy throughout the day. Be sure to note the area where you car is parked to alleviate any confusion when your day ends. 

- Remember where you park your vehicle: Some parking areas, particularly the runways designated as parking areas, look the same. Make note of the area where you parked so that you can go back directly to your vehicle after the show. If you use the same Shuttle Bus service, remember the parking area covered by your bus.



Besides lots of aerial performers, what else is on tap?

- The Air Show offers lots to enjoy both in the air and on the ground. You will see numerous static displays from supersonic jets to military vintage bombers, numerous booths, lots of activities for the youngsters, and a great variety of food and drink.



Can I bring my own shade?

- Beach umbrellas and pop-up tents are prohibited from the flight line due to safety hazards imposed on our aircraft and other spectators. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, hearing protection, sunburn protection, earplugs, and a visor or cap to keep the sun and wind under control. Just incase you forget something, we will have it available for purchase at the show.

 Approved Items 


Cameras, Video Cameras, Camera Bags, and Tripods

  • Please do not load them with film. Security personnel might ask you to open them. Digital cameras might have to be turned off and on to validate their authenticity. Film can be loaded after clearing security.
  • Small camera bags will be allowed, but are subject to be searched. Tripods will also be allowed.

Pagers/Cell Phones

  • You might be asked to turn them on and off to validate their authenticity.

Medications

  • Should you be a diabetic, have an allergic reaction to bee stings or have a medical condition that requires you to carry a needle to administer medication, you will be allowed to enter the grounds to the air show, however we ask that you disclose this information upon your arrival and have proper equipment for disposal of used needles.
  • In addition, all roving Emergency Medical Specialist and First Aid Stations will have Sharps containers for disposal of any needles or medical waste.

Wagons

  • Yes, (i.e. radio Flyer) All items are subject to be searched.

Diaper Bags, Baby Strollers, Wheel Chairs and Lawn Chairs

  • All items are subject to be searched.



 Prohibited Items 


Containers

  • Coolers, picnic bags/baskets, Ruc sacks, backpacks, duffle bags or briefcases.

Drones/UAS

  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems, including 'toys' are not permitted. The FAA has prohibited all UAS flight operations within the airspace defined under NOTAM FDC 7/7282.

Firearms and Other Weapons

  • Weapons are strictly prohibited (regardless of permit; either on a person or in a vehicle) including firearms, stun guns, knives (including pocket knives, box cutters, scissors and multi-tools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray/mace, throwing stars, nun-chucks, batons, large heavy chain-link jewelry or belts, fireworks and laser pointers . Anyone found with these items will be immediately detained by MCAS Cherry Point police and turned over to local authorities.

Food

  • Food will not be allowed (except baby food for infants). There will be food vendors on the flight line offering a wide variety of food and drink choices. Clear, empty, refillable water bottles are permitted. Free water refills will be available on the flight line.

Pets

  • Only service animals are allowed. Service animals are defined as animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties.
  • Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Transmitters or Walkie-Talkies

  • For security and safety reasons you will be asked to return these items to your vehicle prior to entry.

Walking Sticks

  • Canes and other walking aids are permissible. Walking sticks for recreational and leisure use are not authorized.

Other Items

  • Beach umbrellas, pop-up tents, awnings and balloons are prohibited on the flight line due to safety hazards imposed on our aircraft and other spectators. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters and skates (heelies, roller skates or roller blades. You will be asked to return any of these items to your vehicle prior to entry.
