We are proud to offer the 2023 NAS Oceana Air Show, featuring the Navy’s premiere flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels; the F-35C II Lightning Demonstration Team; and the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team! The NAS Oceana Air Show is our chance to give back to our military families and our community. This year, we look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country and around the world to come onboard the Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base, experience the wonder of flight firsthand, and meet the exceptional men and women of naval aviation.

This year’s theme, 50 Years of Women in Naval Aviation, pays tribute to all the Navy’s women trailblazers, from “The First Six” to earn their Wings of Gold in 1973, to the brave women who have since chosen to serve their Nation in the skies. Our Nation and our Navy is stronger because of their service.

We look forward to seeing you in September!

All of the air show parking is on the installation. For the outlying parking areas, there are shuttles that pick up and take patrons to the pedestrian entry points.

What time do the Blue Angels perform?

We’re still building the flying timeline but our best estimate now is that the Blue Angels will start their performance at 3:00pm. as they’ve done in the past.  We’ll update the website when more is known in early August.

What time can I come on base on Saturday or Sunday?

On Saturday and Sunday, 16-17 September, the gates open to the public at 8:00am.  Flying starts at about 10:00am and runs until 4:00pm.

How do I get to the Preferred Parking area?

Preferred Parking pass-holders must enter through Gate 1 (Main Gate) off of Tomcat Blvd. Preferred Parking Passes must be printed and presented to security upon arrival.

Is RV Parking available?

Yes, RV parking is available in a specific area that can accommodate their size. Security will direct you to the appropriate area. For security reasons, this parking area is not close to the flight line.

What is the cost of the show?

Admission and parking at the show are free.  You can purchase upgraded seating either online via the website (www.oceanaairshow.com) or at the show itself.

Are there any security policies I need to be aware of?

Our security team is here to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all of our guests.  A few things to remember:

  • Weapons/Concealed Carry – All weapons (regardless of permit) are prohibited, including firearms, knives (including pocket knives and multi-tools), walking sticks (except for handicap use) and all other items that the security force deems dangerous.  Any confiscated items will not be returned.
