We are proud to offer the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show, featuring the Navy’s premiere flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, and the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team! The NAS Oceana Air Show, which is free and open to the public, is our chance to give back to our military families and our community. Each year, we are pleased to welcome visitors from across the country and around the world to the Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base, to experience the wonder of flight firsthand and meet the exceptional men and women of naval aviation.
This year’s theme for the air show is Inspire. Educate. Soar! Our theme celebrates the young minds we hope to inspire through unparalleled flight demonstrations and hundreds of interactive STEM education engagements available for all to enjoy during the air show. Inspire. Educate. Soar! also highlights the thousands of local 5th graders who will attend the air show’s practice day during their STEM Education Field Trip on Friday, September 20.
Since 2016, every single 5th grader from all Virginia Beach City Public Schools has been invited to Apollo Soucek field for an exclusive sneak peek of the NAS Oceana Air Show as our performers practice, while engaging with our STEM Laboratory exhibits. This year, for the first time ever, we will also welcome 5th grade students from all Chesapeake Public Schools! This will be one unforgettable field trip for kids across Hampton Roads.
We look forward to shaping the next generation of aviators, explorers, and leaders at the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show. Don’t miss it!

Yes, RV parking is available in a specific area that can accommodate their size. Security will direct you to the appropriate area. For security reasons, this parking area is not close to the flight line.

Are there any security policies I need to be aware of?
Our security team is here to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all of our guests. A few things to remember:
