Great Tennessee Air Show to Donate to Capt. Jeff Kuss Family Fund
Smyrna, TN (June 3, 2016) ? Great Tennessee Air Show co-producers, the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority and The Air Show Network, will jointly donate a portion of proceeds of all ticket sales to the Captain Jeff Kuss Family Fund.
?The weekend?s air show is dedicated to honoring Capt. Kuss for his service to our country and for making the ultimate sacrifice,? said John Black, Executive Director of Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport. ?We hope to help ease some of the family?s financial hardships after this tragedy and let them know we hold them dear to our hearts.?
?The outpouring of support from the community and aviation fans converging on Smyrna for this weekend?s air show has been amazing,? added Jim Breen, president of The Air Show Network. ?Every one of this weekend?s air show spectators, including those who have already purchased tickets, can know that they?re directly contributing to help the family.?
A limited number of tickets remain for bothSaturday and Sunday shows and can be purchased at www.GreatTennesseeAirShow.com or at the gate while supplies last.
General Admission tickets can be used for eitherSaturday or Sunday.
One Day Pass (General Admission) - Good for one full day of aviation fun Saturday or Sunday! *Children 3 and under are free!
Premium Box Seats - A fantastic way to get a great seat for the air show, right on the flight line and close to show center. Box seats, assigned to you for the entire day, are close to food vendors and private restrooms. *Children 3 and under, sitting on laps, do not require a ticket.
Flight Line Club - The best seats in the house! Flight Line Club seats include luxury seating on the flight line, catered lunch, soft drinks, and beer/wine available for purchase.(ID required).

Please print your tickets and bring with you to the event for admission. If you are unable to print your tickets, you may present your tickets on your phone to be scanned for admission.
When do the gates open?
Gates open at 8:00AM. Static displays, kids zone, and exhibits will open at 8:00AM. The parachute jump with the American flag and the National Anthem will be at approximately 11:30AM. Performers will start immediately after that and continue until about 4:30PM. We suggest arriving in plenty of time before the performances are scheduled to begin.
Is there a Military Discount?
The only discount available is for One Day Pass (general admission) tickets and it has already been applied to the online tickets.
How much is parking?
General parking is included in your ticket price.
Is there handicapped parking?
Yes. You must have a handicapped plate or tag in the car and make sure the parking attendants flagging your car are aware of your handicapped status. They will direct you to the area you will need to park in. Parking is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to insure a parking spot.
Where is my VIP Parking Pass?
VIP Parking is available for purchase. Your pass will be sent to your email address for you to print and bring to the air show. Please display the bold heading showing the ticket type and date to the security personnel for admittance to the reserved parking area.
Can I bring a scooter/wheelchair/golf cart?
Motorized scooters and wheelchairs for disabled patrons are allowed in the air show grounds. Personal golf carts are not allowed. Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the show to plug in and recharge.
Is there a schedule of events?
We list our acts, but cannot give a specific schedule since schedules are finalized much closer to the air show and depend on availability and various conditions.

Can I bring a lawn chair or blanket?
Yes! There is no seating included with your General Admission ticket and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. However, no tents, sun umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. There will be plenty of food vendors available on the show grounds.
Can I bring a stroller or wagon for my kids?
Yes, strollers or small wagons are allowed. Please limit any diaper bags to the smallest you can manage. All items will be searched by security personnel at the gates and they have the final say on what is allowed in.
What should I bring/wear?
You are welcome to bring the following items:
Comfortable shoes
Sunscreen
Comfortable clothes for a sunny day
Ear protection for kids (ear plugs, etc)
Sunglasses
Your camera (minus the bulky camera bag)
Something to sit on (blanket, lawn chair, stroller/wagon for the kiddos)
Money for the midway/food/drinks/souvenirs
A great attitude and a love for all things aviation related!

What if it rains?
Unless the weather is severe, we will fly as much of the show as is safe and possible. Due to FAA permit restrictions and performer commitments, it is not possible to reschedule the air show for another weekend.
Can I bring an umbrella?
Umbrellas are not allowed. Ponchos are allowed
Are cameras allowed?
Yes, cameras for personal use are allowed. You camera bags will be checked by the gate security upon entry.
